Oktoberfest Palm Beach Cart Rental | Golf Cart Rental for Events

Our golf cart rental services are used for a variety of events in and around the tri-county area of south Florida. Upcoming this October is Oktoberfest in Palm Beach, running from October 11th to October 20th. Located in Lake Worth Beach, this event celebrates German history and culture, with live bands and various, authentic German meals and drinks. Oktoberfest Palm Beach Cart Rental

Celebrating its 50th year this October, the Palm Beach Oktoberfest will include a variety of entertainment, including concerts, food and drink, and a carnival. On the far side of the festival grounds, you’ll find the carnival area, complete with rides and games for all ages to enjoy. Kids wrist bands for unlimited rides are only $25 for the day, and can be purchased multiple days in a row to make the most of every attraction. Other things to do include the Parade of Flags, and beer keg tapping every Friday to Sunday of the event (October 11th to 13th, and October 18th to 20th).

Our previous blog featured our selection of EZGO golf cart parts, which included enclosures, side nerf bars for 4 and 6 passenger models, and 36V and 48V chargers. Bintelli Beyond 4 Passenger Golf Cart

Built from an aluminum frame with aluminum roof supports, both the standard and lifted Bintelli Beyond 4 passenger golf cart comes fully loaded with a multitude of accessories. As a street ready vehicle, the cart can reach speeds of about 20-25mph, and when registered as a low speed vehicle (LSV), can be taken on any public road with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. It can also travel approximately 30-35 miles on a single charge, with the potential of an upgrade for a longer range. Additional accessories on the cart include but are not limited to: a Bluetooth sound system, a backup camera, dual USB plugs, an onboard smart charger, premium two-toned seats, LED lighting, and a rear seat that can be flipped to create a flatbed-like surface for transporting materials.

Bintelli Beyond 6 Passenger Golf Cart

Complete with an aluminum frame and roof supports, the Bintelli Beyond standard and lifted 6 passenger cart is completely street ready with its features of headlights, brake lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and seat belts, and reaches a speed of approximately 20-25mph. This allows the cart to be registered as a street legal low speed vehicle (LSV), where it can then be taken on any public roads with a posted speed limit of 35mph or less. As a fully loaded cart, the Bintelli Beyond 6 passenger golf cart also features accessories including but not limited to: premium, luxurious two-toned stitched seats, hydraulic disk brakes, 14-inch wheels, a backup camera, a Bluetooth sound system, and 2 USB ports. Four forward facing seats and two back facing seats provide a comfortable and reliable travel experience for a group.

Battery Service

Test voltage one by one and all together; test load capacity on single batteries
Check tightness of cables and connections, replace bad cables
Clean any corrosion
Check water level – if low, technician adds distilled water to bring up to proper level
Test cart to make sure it drives, plug in cart to check that charger comes on

Supercharge

Check water levels before charging
Supercharger connects to all batteries of a 48V cart
Supercharging takes between 1-4 hours

When a cart is done supercharging, it had enough power for its regular charger to take effect and begin recharging it.

Our tire services are usually called to change a flat tire. We will:

Loosen lugnuts, jack up cart, remove and replace wheel
Standard golf cart tires are 18-8.5-8; we can change up to a 14 inch tire
Customers can also provide a tire that we can put on

What makes a golf cart street legal?

All street legal golf cars that we carry are either 4 passenger or 6 passenger electric carts. Gas golf carts are not street legal because they cannot maintain the speed required for road use (24mph). 2 passenger and 8 passenger carts are also not street legal, though we do offer them for rentals.

In order for a golf cart to be street legal, it must be registered with the DMV as a low-speed vehicle (LSV), meaning it is limited to a maximum speed of 24mph. Once registered, they can be driven and parked just like a regular car. Street legal golf carts can be driven on any roads with a speed limit of 35mph or less, and must have a tag (license plate) attached to the back. The back of the vehicle must also have an orange triangle sign attached that indicates that it is an LSV.

Golf Cart Lithium Batteries | Lithium Battery Upgrade | BSLBATT Battery

Many sources have confirmed that upgrading to a golf cart lithium battery can bring several benefits to golf cart owners. Increased mileage is one of the main ones: Lead-acid batteries can typically travel 15-25 miles on a charge, and the cart may start to lose speed the lower the charge gets, while golf cart lithium batteries can easily reach over 40 miles without slowing down. Some brands of lithium battery can even drive nearly 100 miles before needing to be charged. When a lead-acid battery gets very low, it can sometimes take up to 18 hours to fully recharge, and sometimes may be too low to pick up a charge – when this happens, it will need to be supercharged. Lithium batteries do not have this problem, and can easily bounce back from being at as low as a 5% charge, recharging in just a few hours. Typically, lithium batteries take about 5 hours to fully recharge. Lead-acid batteries last around 1-2 years before they need to be replaced, while some lithium battery brands can last up to 10 years, saving customers expenses in the long run. Other benefits include less weight on the golf cart – switching from a system of lead-acid batteries to a single lithium battery can take up to 400 pounds off a cart -, and no harmful fumes – lead-acid batteries are filled with hazardous chemicals that can be harmful if touched, but lithium batteries have none, and require no maintenance either.

BSLBATT’s rugged battery management system (BMS) is installed in every golf and marine battery. The state of the art battery management system protects the batteries from under voltage, over voltage, and will shut the battery down if a cell is out of balance. LifePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) is the safest battery chemistry available, and is non combustible / non flammable. The BSLBATT’s BMS is integrated in each battery and will detect any problems with the performance of the battery and shut down any cells not functioning properly. The BMS will also protect the batteries from over-charging or undercharging. BSLBATT batteries are great for long term storage. To store correctly: fully charge the battery, unplug charger, flip the golf cart switch to tow mode and press the power button on the side of the battery.

Allied Lithium Battery

The Allied “commercial” line has a Bluetooth enabled BMS that communicates directly with the Allied app. Available for Apple and Android phones, it will automatically set up with the battery. With the app, users can view the safety protection dashboard, as well as turn the charger on and off, and turn the battery pack on and off. The app can also tell you the remaining AH and voltage, remaining discharge time, as well as the remaining charge time current. Along with that, it will also state the amp draw current cell, temperature voltage of individual cells, and lifetime power cycle.

How to Prepare Your Golf Cart for Long-Term Self-Storage

If you would prefer to store your golf cart on your own property rather than in a storage facility, there are several important steps to take to ensure that your golf cart stays in top condition during the off-season or time it’s not in use. Even when storing your golf cart for long periods of time, there is more to it than simply tucking the cart away in a shed for months at a time. Golf carts still require periodic maintenance when not in use, but following the right guidelines to storing your golf cart will keep it preserved and ready for when it’s time to be brought out again.

Battery Preparation

When preparing your golf cart for storage, you’ll want to first perform some basic battery maintenance. Begin by disconnecting battery cables, and clean any corrosion from the cables and battery by using a mix of baking soda and warm water (or white vinegar and water) – baking soda neutralizes acid corrosion. Fully charge the battery, as batteries will naturally self-discharge when not in use. When disconnecting the battery charger, unplug it from the AC outlet before unplugging it from the cart. Using only distilled water, refill the batteries, making sure the cart has been fully charged. Do not refill the batteries before fully charging your cart, as this can lead to electrolyte overflow.

Turn the key switch off to turn off everything on the cart, and depending on your cart, you’ll have either a Run/Tow switch or a Run/Maintenance switch. Flip this switch to “tow” or “maintenance” in order to reduce battery discharge and fire risks. Finally, disconnect the main positive and negative connections – it’s recommended to tape the connections together in order to not forget where they go.

You’ll want to periodically check in on your charge and water levels – especially in warmer climates, the water levels can slowly decrease due to evaporation, and batteries will self-discharge when left unused for extended periods of time. It’s recommended to return to your cart every 2-4 weeks and check these levels – fully recharge and refill the batteries as needed.

Tire Checks

Before putting the golf cart in storage, you’ll want to inflate your tires as high as possible without over inflating them. When the cart is stationary for long periods of time, the tires naturally deflate from the weight of the cart, possibly causing damage to the tires like flat spots. When checking in on the cart as recommended, inflate the tires every two weeks and move the cart slightly, applying pressure to a different part of the tire.

Another option is storing the golf cart off the ground – raise the cart up onto jack stands, which will take pressure off the tires and ensure that no flat spots will form.

General Cleaning

Even in the best storage, moisture will still be produced. Inspect your cart to make sure there are no rust spots, and if there are, cover them with fresh paint. Rust spots can increase from moisture in the air if left untreated, and any other markings will also worsen with extreme temperatures. Be sure to remove any crumbs that may be on the seats, as they can grow and harbor bacteria in the time the cart is stored, and make sure to clean the flooring and upholstery to prevent any possible molding. Remove any rugs or carpets, cut and polish any scratches, and replace spark plugs if needed. Other things to clean include any dirt or grime, bird or other animal droppings, mirrors, fuel, air, and oil filters, and cables and connectors.

Storage

An important tip to remember is to leave the cart in neutral when storing it, and if storing it on the ground, keep it on a level surface and surround the wheels with bricks or other heavy objects to keep it from rolling. Do not keep the parking brake engaged – this can damage the cart.

Most golf carts will fit in a 10×10 enclosed space – placing the golf cart inside is critical and will prevent any damage that could be caused by harsh weather and below freezing or exceedingly high temperatures. A garage is a good option, although it can take up space that may be needed for cars, so storing it in a small shed is another ideal choice.

Even though the cart is inside, always use a protective cover to keep dust and dirt off the cart. If you don’t have a cover specifically for golf carts, a large canvas cloth will suffice – the most important thing is simply making sure the cart is covered.

Even when not in use, your golf cart still needs periodic maintenance, so it’s important to follow these steps to ensure that your golf cart is sufficiently prepared for storage and regularly checked in on, so when it comes time to use it again, it’ll still be in top condition.
